KENNESAW HORIZON. (Leslie Renee x Angels Gather Around). Sev. Tet. EM. 29” tall, 3-way branching, 21 buds, 5 ½” flower. I was just thrilled when I first saw this bi-tone. The petals are a coral color, and the sepals are a much lighter shade of coral. There are carvings on the face of the petals, and there are jagged edges and protuberances on the edges of the petals. The throat is a deep green, which helps to highlight the coral colors. Pod and pollen fertile. $100.00.

MYSTIC AMETHYST. (Leslie Renee x Tet. James McCaskill). Dormant. Tet. EM. 29” tall, 3-4 way branching, 20 buds, 5 ½” flower. This is the only introduction that I have produced using Tet. James McCaskill as a parent, and to my knowledge, there is only one other introduction where Tet. James McCaskill was used a parent. The attraction of MYSTIC AMETHYS is its fine lavender color. Its green throat, its dark stamen, and its lovely ruffled edge, all enhance the charm of this daylily. Pod and pollen fertile. $100.00.

SNOW-BERRY SORBET. (Bluegrass Music x Blue Desire). Dormant. Tet. M. 30” tall, 3-4 way branching, 20 buds, 4 1/4” flower. This lovely daylily has a “berry colored” eye. Indeed, there is a double color at the outer edge of the eye, and then this double color goes around each of the petals. The color outside the eye is what I call “snow,” and hence the name SNOW-BERRY SORBET. A perfect winter treat in the middle of the daylily season! Pod and pollen fertile. $100.00.

 |
TWENTY CARROT. (Varsity Orange x Ram). Dormant. Tet. M. 38” tall, 5-6 way branching, 34 buds, 7” flower. All gold in color. Diana Rae named this daylily, and I used her name suggestion because we never see 20 carat jewelry, and the use of the word “carrot,” was just the perfect homonym. This daylily is significant because of its height, branching, and bud count. Pod and pollen fertile. $100.00.

KENNESAW SUNRISE. (Petree Seedling x Pearl Harbor) x Moment in the Sun]. Dormant. Tet. M. 32” tall, 4-way branching, 34 buds, 6” flower. Admittedly, just plain yellow in color, but oh, such a lovely lemon yellow. How could KENNESAW SUNRISE be overlooked, and just thrown away? Well, I had to introduce this lovely flower! I gave it its name because it reminds me of the sun in the morning rising over Kennesaw Mountain. Pod and pollen fertile. $50.00.

MARIETTA MELON. (Leslie Renee x Kennesaw Mountain Hayride). Sev. Tet. EM. 33” tall, 3-way branching, 14 buds, 6” flower. Just the clearest pink that I have seen, and as an added boost, the flower is very flat. There is a lovely green throat, and a lovely ruffled edge that adds considerably to the beauty of the flower. Indeed, the pink color reminds me of a watermelon. Pod and pollen fertile. $100.00.

RED EYED RADIANCE. [(Grace 578 Seedling x Tet. Connie Burton) x Tet. (Last Midnight x Peppermint Delight)]. Sev. Tet. EM. 32” tall, 3-way branching, 22 buds, 6” flower. This daylily has four converted diploids as parents. The Grace 578 seedling has Tet. Siloam Ralph Henry in its parentage, and then I converted a Grace diploid that had both Last Midnight and Peppermint Delight as parents. The other conversion was Tet. Connie Burton. The brilliant red eye and the red edge on the petals, topped with a “stopper” of a green throat, make this one of my best for 2012. Pollen fertile, but a difficult pod parent. $100.00.

LEMONY WHISKERS. (Leslie Renee x Angels Gather Around). Sev. Tet. EM. 27” tall, 4-way branching, 19 buds, 5” flower. This flower was named by our daughter, Kelley Rae, and the name is just perfect. The tubular projections on the edges of the petals are quite stunning, and they have a lemon color. The color of the petals and sepals is ivory, and then there is a deep green throat. This has been the most popular of my introductions for this year. Pod and pollen fertile. $150.00.
